Clean Genome® E. coli strains are the bacterial hosts of choice for a wide spectrum of protein and nucleic acid production applications ranging from routine cloning and recombinant protein expression experiments to large scale production of nucleic acid and protein biopharmaceuticals.
Completely free of IS elements and cryptic prophages, plus deleted for many nonessential genes our range of Clean Genome® E. coli strains provide enhanced genetic stability and improved metabolic efficiency, to maximize protein and nucleic production efficiency. All strains are derived from the revolutionary MDS42 reduced genome strain described in Science 312:1044-6, and are further deleted to create the MDS69 series. Use of Clean Genome® strains requires a Limited License Agreement.
