We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Digital Marketing Coordinator to support the marketing efforts of DNASTAR and Scarab Genomics. This entry-level role focuses on executing digital campaigns, maintaining web presence, and tracking marketing performance to help drive awareness and lead generation for two innovative life science companies.
The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of digital marketing strategies, analytics, and tools, along with a background in life sciences. You will work closely with the Director of Marketing and the broader team to ensure cohesive execution of initiatives that connect with scientists and biotech professionals.
This is a remote position, but we are seeking a candidate based in or near Indianapolis, IN.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, execute, and manage paid digital ad campaigns across platforms, track performance metrics, and report on results.
- Optimize website content and structure to improve SEO and search rankings.
- Build new website pages and ensure existing content is regularly updated and accurate.
- Monitor website performance, user behavior, and traffic trends, providing regular reporting and insights.
- Create and schedule organic social media content to support brand awareness and lead generation.
- Develop, implement, and optimize drip email campaigns and workflows within HubSpot.
- Analyze campaign data and digital performance metrics to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
- Assist with audience segmentation and lead nurturing strategies to improve campaign targeting and ROI.
- Support event promotion and digital campaigns for webinars, conferences, and trade shows.
- Conduct A/B testing of ad creatives, landing pages, and email workflows to improve performance.
- Collaborate closely with the Director of Marketing and the broader marketing team.
Qualifications We’re Looking For:
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
- 0–2 years of experience in digital marketing, advertising, or related internships.
- Background or demonstrated interest in life sciences is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with digital advertising platforms (Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, etc.).
- Basic understanding of SEO best practices and web analytics (Google Analytics, Google Search Console).
- Experience with marketing automation tools (HubSpot experience preferred).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Collaborative mindset with a willingness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced environment.
- Based in or near Indianapolis, IN, with the ability to meet in person occasionally.
